Restoring Trust In Government

Albany is broken. With the last two State Senators indicted on corruption charges, it is time we clean up politics and restore trust in our elected officials.

• I fully support Project Sunlight which monitors government decision-making through an easily accessible searchable website.
• I call for more transparency in government to ensure full disclosure of public spending by any elected official.
• I support reforming New York’s ethics laws through legislative rules reform and a more open budgetary process.
• I support requiring public officials to abide by a “duty of faithful public service.”
• To remove the corrupting influence of special interests, I support the FULL public financing of political campaigns.
• I support non-partisan redistricting.
